The Douglas (18-5) and the Shoreline (10-12) each put runners in scoring position on Sunday, but the Douglas capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out an 8-7 win at Meridian Park.

Janessa Neufeld racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Douglas. He doubled in the second and third innings.

Emily Jackson put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Shoreline. He tripled in the first inning, singled in the fourth inning, and doubled in the eighth inning.

Michaela Moore improved to 4-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Douglas. He allowed two runs over six innings. He struck out five, walked none and surrendered eight hits.

Kathryn Goff ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his sixth loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in eight innings, walked none and struck out one.
