A magnificent effort by Krystina Fischer hoisted the Lower Columbia (28-8) to an 8-0 win in six innings over the Clackamas (27-8) on Saturday at Tam O' Shanter Park.
Fischer struck out 10 hitters en route to the the Lower Columbia win. The Lower Columbia's pitcher tossed six innings of shutout ball and allowed only three hits.
The Lower Columbia blew out the Clackamas thanks to 10 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Lower Columbia scored three runs in the fifth on the Lower Columbia scored in the fifth on an RBI double by Sam Boyce and a two-run home run by Hannah Rothwell.
Rothwell racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Lower Columbia.
Ceidilee Norbriga ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked four, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
