Early lead not enough for the Pierce, drop 4-1 decision to the Lower Columbia

The Pierce (14-11) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 4-1 to the Lower Columbia (18-8) on Sunday.

A three-run home run by Cameron Campbell gave the Lower Columbia the lead in the sixth inning.

Campbell racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Lower Columbia. He homered in the sixth inning.

Max Tilton pitched lights out for the Lower Columbia. The Pierce managed just one hit off of Tilton, who allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out three during his 2 2/3 innings of work.

Alex Torson recorded his fourth win of the year for the Lower Columbia. He allowed one run over six innings. He struck out three, walked four and surrendered six hits.

Colten Barnes (1-2) took the loss for the Pierce. He lasted just eight innings, walked one, struck out five, and allowed four runs.
