The Linn-Benton (25-14) built an early lead against the SW Oregon (11-29), scoring three runs in the first inning, en route to a 8-4 win on Saturday at LBCC Baseball Field .

The Linn-Benton scored in the first on a two-run double by Jordan Thompson and an error.

Jack Bauer did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Linn-Benton, reaching base four times. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the sixth innings.

David Wallum got the win for the Linn-Benton thanks to seven strikeouts. Wallum allowed one earned run, five hits and two walks over 6 2/3 innings.

Sam Mitchell had a hot bat for the SW Oregon. Mitchell went 2-5, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the fourth inning and homered in the ninth inning.

Doug Molzahn was charged with his tenth loss of the year. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked one and struck out four.
