The Skagit Valley (12-10) and the Olympic (8-12) each put runners in scoring position on Saturday, but the Skagit Valley capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 5-3 win at Legion Field.
Joe Done was hot from the plate for the Skagit Valley. Done went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run. He doubled in the eighth innings and singled in the ninth inning.
Taylor Graham brought the heat against the Olympic during his outing. Graham held the Olympic hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out none.
Jacob Price pitched seven innings and allowed no earned runs, three hits and one walk while striking out one.
Tyrel Panter got the win, running his season record to 2-0. He allowed three runs over seven innings. Panter struck out three, walked two and gave up seven hits.
Hunter Nielsen (1-2) took the loss for the Olympic. He lasted just zero innings, walked two, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
