The Big Bend (6-0) beat the Thompsons River 6-4 on Sunday at Moses Lake High School behind Nate Ball, who had two extra base hits.
He tripled in the third inning, singled in the fifth inning, and doubled in the eighth inning.A bright spot for the Thompsons River in the defeat was Ferguson, who allowed only three runs while striking out six.
Sam Krapf recorded his second win of the year for the Big Bend. He allowed two runs over 4 2/3 innings. He struck out five, walked two and surrendered three hits.
Ferguson ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year.
