Makinsey Finch was cold coming off the bench, but Finch warmed up quickly as Finch stroked a key pinch-hit single in the six to lead the North Idaho (12-3) to a 9-7 win over the Columbia Basin (14-5) on Wednesday at North Idaho.

With the North Idaho trailing by one, Finch came to the plate and singled, plating Kekuulani Haake.

Nikki Miller blasted two home runs for the North Idaho. Miller went 2-4 in the game with four RBIs and two runs scored. Miller homered in the first and seventh innings.

The Columbia Basin were led by a flawless day at the dish by Megan McMurrin, who went 2-2 against the North Idaho's pitching. He singled in the first and seventh innings.
