Kempf's double propels the Terre Haute Rex past the Danville Dans, 6-2

The Terre Haute Rex (1-0) built an early lead against the Danville Dans (0-1), scoring three runs in the first inning, en route to a 6-2 win on Friday at Danville Stadium.

The Terre Haute Rex scored in the first on an RBI double by Kyle Kempf, an RBI double by Ricardo Ramirez, and an RBI single by Andrew Gutierrez.

Kempf racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Terre Haute Rex.

Evan Miller pitched lights out for the Terre Haute Rex. The Danville Dans managed just three hits off of Miller, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out four during his six innings of work.

Ryan Gaines couldn't get it done on the hill for the Danville Dans, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
