Ashley Stephenson went 2-2, sparking the Ontario one (5-0) to a 9-5 victory in seven innings over the British Columbia (3-2) on Friday at Stade Richard-Desmeules.

The British Columbia were led by Niki Boyd's hitting. Boyd went 2-4 and drove in one. He singled in the third innings and tripled in the fourth inning.

Brittany Chan improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Ontario one. He allowed one run over 2 2/3 innings. He struck out none, walked two and surrendered two hits.

Daniella Matteucci was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed nine runs in six innings, walked six and struck out four.
