With the game scoreless in the third inning Herrera came to the plate and singled.

Troy Scocca racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs. He homered in the third inning and doubled in the seventh inning.
Herrera's seven strikeouts were enough to push the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs past the Amsterdam Mohawks. Herrera allowed one earned run on four hits and no walks over five innings.
Fernando Guerrero was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked three, struck out four, and allowed three runs.
