The Columbia Basin make the most of 6 hits in 4-1 victory over the Walla Walla

The Columbia Basin (19-8) and the Walla Walla (16-8) each put runners in scoring position on Saturday, but the Columbia Basin capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 4-1 win at Warrior Field .

Spencer Bennion was solid at the plate for the Columbia Basin. Bennion went 3-5 and scored two runs. He doubled in the sixth inning and singled in the second and eighth innings.

The Columbia Basin relied on Tanner Simpson to eat up innings en route to the win. Simpson allowed one earned run, nine hits and three walks while striking out six over nine innings of work.

Jarrod Molnaa (2-2) took the loss for the Walla Walla. He lasted just seven innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
