Austin Bergdahl kept the Blue Mountain (9-13) off the board during his seven innings of work and the Columbia Basin (18-6) beat the Blue Mountain, 9-0.
Bergdahl allowed five hits, one walk and struck out eight.
Seven runs in the opening three innings allowed the Columbia Basin to easily put away the Blue Mountain. A sacrifice fly by Spencer Bennion and a wild pitch in the first inning and a groundout by Zeb Chamberlain, a passed ball, and a two-run single by Drew Loera during the second inning helped the Columbia Basin put some runs on the board early.
Loera racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Columbia Basin.
Cody Pedroza (0-1) took the loss for the Blue Mountain. He lasted just one inning, walked two, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
