The Palm Beach Xtreme (24-14) blew out the Pompano Beach Clippers (29-6) 9-3 on Monday after pouring on six runs in the sixth inning.

The Palm Beach Xtreme scored in the sixth on an RBI single by Derek Fritz, an RBI single by Garrett Wells, and a home run by Brian Mayer.

Mayer racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Palm Beach Xtreme.

Derek Jacobs pitched lights out for the Palm Beach Xtreme. The Pompano Beach Clippers managed just three hits off of Jacobs, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his five innings of work.

Michael Hanke improved to 3-3 on the year by picking up the win for the Palm Beach Xtreme. He allowed one run over two innings. Hanke struck out one, walked one and gave up two hits.

Sean Horner (4-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
