A 13-run explosion in the fourth inning spurred the Liberal BeeJays (2-0) to a 23-2 win in five innings over the Cape Girardeau Capahas at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium on Sunday.

The Liberal BeeJays scored in the fourth on a groundout by Brady Cox, a two-run double by Brody Miller, a two-run error, a two-run error, an RBI double by Gavin Wehby, an error, an RBI single by Nick Brooks, an RBI single by Miller, and a home run by Cale ODonnell.

ODonnell racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Liberal BeeJays.

Kadon Simmons improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Liberal BeeJays. He allowed two runs over four innings. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered four hits.

Lance Young (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in 2 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out one.

The Liberal BeeJays pounded the Cape Girardeau Capahas (0-1) pitching, as eight hitters combined for 13 hits, 20 RBIs and 20 runs scored.
