Boxscore | Game Recap | Boxscore Text Version | Gamelive Version

The Manitoba jump on the British Columbia early and coast to 11-1 win

Story by Narrative Science.

The Manitoba (2-1) refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against the British Columbia (1-2), recording an 11-1 victory on Saturday at Stade Arvida.

Six runs in the first three innings allowed the Manitoba to put the game away early.

A two-run single by Jenai Buchanan, a two-run single by Buchanan, a groundout by Sophie Bissonnette, and a wild pitch during the first inning and and a single by Katelyn Heppner in the second inning fueled the Manitoba's offense early.

Buchanan racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Manitoba.

Brittney Langlais's nine strikeouts were enough to push the Manitoba past the British Columbia. Langlais allowed one earned run, four hits and one walk over 5 2/3 innings.

Jayan Nickolet was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in two innings, walked two and struck out three.
