Chris Horwood went 2-4 as the Ontario one (4-0) took home a 3-2 victory over the Manitoba (2-2) in seven innings at Currie Field on Saturday.

Drake Pilat got on base three times in the game for the Manitoba. He singled in the fourth inning and doubled in the sixth inning.

Matthew Van Buskirk got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed two runs over 5 2/3 innings. Van Buskirk struck out five, walked four and gave up five hits.

Garrett Virtue (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just six innings, walked three, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
