The Burnaby (BC1 (3-1) beat the Manitoba (2-1) 4-3 in seven innings on Saturday at Regina Optimist Baseball Park behind Darren Honeysett, who went 3-3 at the plate.

Austin Gurr picked up the win for the Burnaby (BC1. Gurr pitched seven innings and allowed two earned runs, six hits and one walk while striking out four.

The Manitoba were led by Peter Miedema's hitting. Miedema went 2-3, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the sixth innings.

Eric Swanson ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked none, struck out five, and allowed four runs.
