Ryne Birk knocked in three runs as the Hyannis Harbor Hawks (12-8) took home a 5-1 victory over the Falmouth Commodores (7-12) at McKeon Park on Thursday.
He homered in the sixth inning.The Falmouth Commodores had no answer for Nick Deeg, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Falmouth Commodores managed just one hit off of the the Hyannis Harbor Hawks' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out six during his six innings of work.
Conor Costello (0-2) took the loss for the Falmouth Commodores. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
