The Utica Brewers (11-17) built an early edge on Wednesday, but the Newark Pilots (12-15) roared back to steal a 4-1 victory at Murnane Field.
An RBI double by Mark Martin gave the Newark Pilots the lead in the sixth inning.
Blake Valley was hot from the plate for the Newark Pilots. Valley went 2-3 and scored two runs. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the seventh innings.
Logan Harasta's five strikeouts were enough to push the Newark Pilots past the Utica Brewers. Harasta allowed one earned run, four hits and one walk over six innings.
Despite the loss, the Utica Brewers' Michael Messier dominated the Newark Pilots' batters, giving up two runs and striking out seven.
