Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Saturday as the Newfoundland and Labrador (1-4) outscored the Alberta (2-3) 11-10 in seven innings.

The two teams combined for 21 hits in the game.

Cole Tucker racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Newfoundland and Labrador. He doubled in the first inning, singled in the second inning, and tripled in the seventh inning.

A bright spot for the Alberta in the defeat was Rayce Wilkinson, who allowed only two runs while striking out five.

Jack Marlin got on base two times in the game for the Alberta. He singled in the sixth inning.

Mason MacLeod improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Newfoundland and Labrador. He allowed four runs over 3 1/3 innings. He struck out two, walked four and surrendered two hits.

Matt Greenshields (0-1) took the loss for the Alberta. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
