The Champion City Kings (17-24) built an early edge on Tuesday, but the Danville Dans (24-19) roared back to steal a 3-2 victory at Danville Stadium.

The Danville Dans took the lead in the ninth inning on a sacrifice fly by Logan Steinberg.

Zack Gibson got on base three times in the game for the Danville Dans. He singled in the fifth inning and tripled in the ninth inning.

The Champion City Kings couldn't get anything going as long as Brian Allec was pitching. The Champion City Kings managed just one hit off of Allec, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out five during his two innings of work.

Corey Murphy was effective even in defeat, mowing down seven the Danville Dans batters and allowing one run.

Tanner Combs couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Champion City Kings, taking a loss. He lasted just two innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
