A seven-run explosion in the fifth inning spurred the Danville Dans (4-2) to an 11-2 win in seven innings over the Kokomo Jackrabbits (4-2) at Kokomo Municipal Stadium on Sunday.

The Danville Dans scored in the fifth on a steal of home by Joey Fiske, an RBI single by Dalton Schumer, an RBI single by Yoonjae Nam, , and a three-run double by Christian Diaz.

The Kokomo Jackrabbits jumped out to an early lead, but they were unable to hang on. The Kokomo Jackrabbits were up until the fourth inning, but the Danville Dans had other plans for the final outcome, taking the lead back on an RBI double by Logan Steinberg.

Steinberg led the Danville Dans' offensive threat, as he got on base four times in the game. He scored one run and had one RBI.

Matt Wivinis struck out six hitters en route to the the Danville Dans win. Wivinis allowed two earned runs on six hits and no walks over seven innings.

Bryce Rainey (0-1) took the loss for the Kokomo Jackrabbits. He lasted just three innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
