A superb effort by Ryan Johnson spurred the Weyburn Beavers (6-1) to a 7-2 win over the Melville Millionaires on Tuesday at Pirie Field.

Johnson brought the heat against the Melville Millionaires (1-6) during his outing. Johnson gave up just two hits, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out six during his eight innings of work.

Anthony Balderama racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Weyburn Beavers. He singled in the third and fifth innings and doubled in the sixth inning.

Austin Stewart (0-2) took the loss for the Melville Millionaires. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
