The West Palm Beach Eagles (9-12) and the Florida Pokers (6-13) both had scoring chances on Monday, but it was the West Palm Beach Eagles that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 7-6 win at Cypress Park C S.

Brad Myott racked up two RBIs on two hits for the West Palm Beach Eagles. He singled in the fourth and ninth innings.

Brandon Houk handled the Florida Pokers' lineup with ease, racking up three strikeouts. Houk allowed no earned runs on four hits and one walk over five innings.

Mason Kleist was effective even in defeat, mowing down six the West Palm Beach Eagles batters and allowing two runs.

Even though Doug Wright allowed five runs over three innings he still recorded the victory, his second of the season. He struck out three, walked one and surrendered seven hits.

Jonathan Gonzalez was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just three innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
