Saenz stars as the Santa Fe Fuego defeat the Las Vegas Train Robbers, 21-4

An excellent effort by Louie Saenz carried the Santa Fe Fuego (32-17) to a 21-4 win over the Las Vegas Train Robbers (21-35) on Saturday at Fort Marcy Park.

Saenz racked up eight RBIs on three hits for the Santa Fe Fuego. He homered in the first and eighth innings.

The Santa Fe Fuego ran up the score, scoring runs at will until the final out. The Santa Fe Fuego scored four runs in the last three innings to finish off the blowout win. Spencer Hotaling ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fifth loss of the year. He allowed 17 runs in 5 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out six.

The Santa Fe Fuego hammered the Las Vegas Train Robbers pitching as eight hitters had a field day, combining for 21 hits, 21 RBIs and 19 runs scored.
