Williams' single propels the Trinidad Triggers past the Santa Fe Fuego, 9-5

The Trinidad Triggers (27-13) jumped on the Santa Fe Fuego (22-13) early on their way to a 9-5 win on Thursday at Central Park, scoring six runs in the first inning.

The Trinidad Triggers scored in the first on an RBI single by Eric Williams, an RBI single by Caleb Bryson, a two-run double by Emmanuel Paulino, an RBI single by Brian Rich, and an RBI single by Rich.

Shane Casey led the Trinidad Triggers' offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the first innings and homered in the fifth inning.

Matt Petrone racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Santa Fe Fuego. He singled in the first inning and homered in the sixth inning.

Patrick Jernigan recorded his third win of the year for the Trinidad Triggers. He allowed four runs over seven innings. Jernigan struck out two, walked none and gave up six hits.

Cody Spriggins couldn't get it done on the mound for the Santa Fe Fuego, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in zero innings, walked two and struck out none.
