A superb effort by Chevas Numata carried the Santa Fe Fuego (15-7) to a 14-8 win over the Garden City Wind (8-20) on Tuesday at Fort Marcy Park.
Numata hit two home runs for the Santa Fe Fuego. Numata went 3-6 in the game with three RBIs and two runs scored. Numata homered in the fourth and seventh innings.
The two teams combined for 22 runs and 32 hits, including zero extra base hits. Relief pitchers got their fill of innings during the game, with the opposing managers using 10 pitchers in total.
