An outstanding effort by Jordan Caillouet lifted the Las Vegas Train Robbers (7-11) to a 16-15 win over the Trinidad Triggers (14-4) on Saturday at Central Park.
Caillouet rocked the Trinidad Triggers with two home runs. Caillouet went 4-5 in the game with five RBIs and two runs scored. Caillouet homered in the second and ninth innings.
The two teams combined for 31 runs and 34 hits, including zero extra base hits. There were nine pitchers used in the game as the two managers searched for any way to finish it off.
Tyler Shannon improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Las Vegas Train Robbers. He allowed one run over two innings. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered three hits.
Jeffrey Neptune was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked four, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
