Nick Rodriquez was cold coming off the bench, but Rodriquez warmed up quickly as Rodriquez stroked a key pinch-hit single in the seven to lead the South Florida Huskies (10-8) to a 14-9 win over the West Palm Beach Sharks (5-12) on Tuesday at Coral Springs High School.
With the score tied at nine, Rodriquez came to the plate and singled.
Each team blasted the other's pitching, and there were 23 total runs and 29 hits during the game. Managers of the two teams seemingly emptied their bullpens in search of the win, as there were nine pitchers used in the game.
Dylan Ebel racked up three RBIs on three hits for the South Florida Huskies. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the second and eighth innings.
Nick Alonzo got his second win for the South Florida Huskies despite allowing five runs over four innings. He struck out five, walked one and surrendered five hits.
Dominic Danetti (3-1) took the loss for the West Palm Beach Sharks. He allowed nine runs in six innings, walked two and struck out four.
