The Delray Beach Lightning (1-2) beat the South Florida Huskies (1-1) 7-2 on Friday at Miller Park behind Chris Grupp, who went 2-3.

The South Florida Huskies' Calvin Sanelli was perfect at the dish, going 3-3. He singled in the second and fourth innings and doubled in the ninth inning.

The Delray Beach Lightning couldn't get anything going as long as Levi Gonzalez was pitching. Gonzalez held the Delray Beach Lightning hitless over 1 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Brando Centrone recorded his first win of the year for the Delray Beach Lightning. He allowed one run over 3 2/3 innings. Centrone struck out three, walked two and gave up four hits.

Nick Alonzo was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just three innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
