Danny Diaz was cold coming off the bench, but Diaz warmed up quickly as Diaz stroked a key pinch-hit single in the eight to lead the Florida Pokers (1-2) to a 10-5 win over the Palm Beach Blazers (2-6) on Tuesday at Miller Park.

With the score tied at three, Diaz came to the plate and singled.

Despite the loss, the Palm Beach Blazers' Zach Lawrence dominated the Florida Pokers' batters, giving up one run and striking out six.

FT Corso got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He struck out one, walked three and surrendered one hit.

Jordan Magers couldn't get it done on the bump for the Palm Beach Blazers, taking a loss. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked two, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
