Dougherty's double gives the Pompano Beach Clippers walk-off win over the Florida Pokers, 3-2

A walk-off double from Evan Dougherty brought home the winning run for the Pompano Beach Clippers (17-2) in a 3-2 victory over the Florida Pokers (6-10) at Pompano Beach Park on Wednesday.

Dougherty reached base two times. He also drove in one runner. He doubled in the ninth inning.

Brandon Burgess brought the heat against the Florida Pokers during his outing. The Florida Pokers managed just one hit off of the the Pompano Beach Clippers' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his four innings of work.

Sean Gabel allowed one earned run, five hits and one walk while striking out two over six innings of work.

Logan Dubbe got the win, running his season record to 1-0. Dubbe struck out one, walked none and gave up one hit.

Jonathan Gonzalez was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
