The Palm Beach Xtreme (4-2) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 6-1 to the Pompano Beach Clippers (5-0) on Tuesday.

While the Palm Beach Xtreme led until the fifth inning, the Pompano Beach Clippers worked their way back and took the lead on an RBI single by Brenden Rivera.

Tay Jerger racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Pompano Beach Clippers. He homered in the ninth inning.

Sean Horner pitched lights out for the Pompano Beach Clippers. Horner gave up just three hits, allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out five during his six innings of work.

Derek Jacobs (0-1) took the loss for the Palm Beach Xtreme. He lasted just five innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
