The Newark Pilots (20-30) had a tough outing on Monday, as the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs (32-18) dominated in a 12-2 win at Colburn Park.

Kyle Norman went a perfect 2-2 at the plate for the Newark Pilots. He singled in the first and third innings.

David Palmer got the win, running his season record to 3-1. He allowed one run over 6 2/3 innings. He struck out two, walked three and surrendered six hits.

Clayton Spiker couldn't get it done on the hill for the Newark Pilots, taking a loss. He allowed 10 runs in five innings, walked three and struck out five.
