An impressive effort by Ben Moxley carried the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs (6-5) to a 2-0 win over the Victor RailRiders on Tuesday at Veterans Memorial Park.
Moxley had an impressive outing against the Victor RailRiders (3-4)'s lineup. The Victor RailRiders managed just one hit off of the the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out 10 during his 7 2/3 innings of work.
Matthew Johnson got on base three times in the game for the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs. He singled in the second and seventh innings.
Peter Lannoo allowed one earned run, six hits and two walks while striking out three over six innings of work.
Lannoo couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Victor RailRiders, taking a loss.
