The Falmouth Commodores (15-26) refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against the Wareham Gatemen (16-24), recording a 10-3 victory on Friday at Arnie Allen Diamond.
With eight runs in the first three innings, the Falmouth Commodores left no doubt about the eventual outcome.
An RBI single by Heath Quinn, an RBI single by Quinn, an RBI single by Boomer White, and an RBI single by Shane Benes in the first inning supplied the early offense for the Falmouth Commodores.Evan Skoug was solid at the plate for the Falmouth Commodores. Cobi Johnson had an impressive outing against the Wareham Gatemen's lineup. Johnson held the Wareham Gatemen hitless over 1 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.
Charlie Warren had two extra-base hits for the Wareham Gatemen. He doubled in the fourth and ninth innings.
Joseph Camacho improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Falmouth Commodores. He allowed three runs over 6 2/3 innings. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered eight hits.
Blake Fox was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in five innings, walked none and struck out four.
