An awesome effort by Matt Gonzalez carried the Harwich Mariners (17-20) to an 8-3 win over the Chatham Anglers (21-17) on Sunday at Veterans Field.

Gonzalez hit two home runs for the Harwich Mariners. Gonzalez went 2-5 in the game with two RBIs and three runs scored. Gonzalez homered in the second and sixth innings.

Scott Tully racked up five strikeouts in the the Harwich Mariners win. Tully allowed two earned runs on five hits and one walk over six innings.

Jake Fraley racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Chatham Anglers. He singled in the second inning and homered in the seventh inning.

Garrett Williams (1-1) took the loss for the Chatham Anglers. He lasted just four innings, walked five, struck out five, and allowed five runs.
