The Bourne Braves (15-18) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 7-2 to the Wareham Gatemen (15-19) on Wednesday.
While the Bourne Braves led until the fourth inning, the Wareham Gatemen worked their way back and took the lead on a sacrifice fly by Connor Beck.
Gavin Stupienski had two extra-base hits for the Wareham Gatemen. He doubled in the fourth and sixth innings and singled in the second and seventh innings.
The Bourne Braves had no answer for Evan Hill, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Bourne Braves managed just one hit off of the the Wareham Gatemen's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out four during his 3 2/3 innings of work.
Ryan Keaffaber couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Bourne Braves, taking a loss. He lasted just four innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
The Wareham Gatemen were sparked by Stupienski and Mark Karaviotis, who teamed up for seven hits and three RBIs.
