Garrett Hampson went 1-2, sparking the Chatham Anglers (19-15) to a 7-2 victory over the Cotuit Kettleers (13-21) on Tuesday at Lowell Park.
He tripled in the second inning.Carl Burdick pitched lights out for the Chatham Anglers. Burdick held the Cotuit Kettleers hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four.
Will Haynie was solid at the plate for the Cotuit Kettleers. Haynie went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the sixth inning.
Mitch Stallings had an impressive outing against the Chatham Anglers' lineup. The Chatham Anglers managed just two hits off of Stallings, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his four innings of work.
Zac Gallen improved to 2-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Chatham Anglers. He allowed one run over five innings. Gallen struck out two, walked two and gave up two hits.
Matthew Milburn couldn't get it done on the bump for the Cotuit Kettleers, taking a loss. He allowed seven runs in 1 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out one.
