The Cotuit Kettleers make the most of 7 hits in 3-1 victory over the Harwich Mariners

The Cotuit Kettleers (13-21) and the Harwich Mariners (14-19) each put runners in scoring position on Tuesday, but the Cotuit Kettleers capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 3-1 win at Whitehouse Field.

Will Haynie racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Cotuit Kettleers. He homered in the seventh innings.

The Harwich Mariners couldn't get anything going so long as Adam Whitt was on the hill. Whitt held the Harwich Mariners hitless over 1 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four.

A bright spot for the Harwich Mariners in the defeat was Scott Tully, who allowed only one run while striking out six.

Jack Anderson recorded his third win of the year for the Cotuit Kettleers. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Anthony Ciavarella was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
