David Kubiak kept the Lake Erie Crushers (34-47) off the board during his 6 2/3 innings of work and the Joliet Slammers (34-48) beat the Lake Erie Crushers, 11-7.

Kubiak allowed three hits, three walks and struck out five.

Mike Garza racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Joliet Slammers. He tripled in the third innings, singled in the sixth inning, and doubled in the eighth inning.

Boo Vazquez did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Lake Erie Crushers, reaching base three times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He tripled in the eighth innings.

Trevor Longfellow was charged with his seventh loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked three and struck out four.
