The River City Rascals (31-24) took down the Schaumburg Boomers (23-32) 10-3 on Tuesday at T. R. Hughes Ballpark after slamming the Schaumburg Boomers with six runs in the fifth inning.

The River City Rascals scored in the fifth on a solo home run by Josh Ludy, a groundout by Brian Hansen, a two-run home run by Danny Canela, an RBI single by Jackson Slaid, and an RBI single by Slaid.

Canela reached base four times in the game for the River City Rascals. He scored one run and had two RBIs.

Dane Stone pitched lights out for the River City Rascals. Stone gave up just three hits, allowed one earned run, walked three and struck out five during his six innings of work.

Alexi Colon racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Schaumburg Boomers. He singled in the sixth inning and homered in the eighth inning.

Peter Gehle (1-1) took the loss for the Schaumburg Boomers. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked one and struck out two.
