Efrain Nieves kept the Lake Erie Crushers (20-29) off the board during his seven innings of work and the Evansville Otters (34-18) beat the Lake Erie Crushers, 6-1.

Nieves struck out six and allowed two walks and three hits.

The Evansville Otters couldn't get anything going so long as Trevor Longfellow was on the hill. Longfellow held the Evansville Otters hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Brad Duffy (5-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked none and struck out two.
