The Rockford Aviators (29-16) took home a marathon 5-4 victory over the Gateway Grizzlies (15-31) on Wednesday at Aviator Stadium.

With the Rockford Aviators trailing by one, Justin Fox came to the plate and singled, bringing home Danny Stienstra and Cody Lenahan.

Fox got on base three times in the game for the Rockford Aviators. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the second and tenth innings.

Grant Buckner did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Gateway Grizzlies, reaching base three times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the fifth inning and tripled in the seventh inning.

Matt Frahm improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Rockford Aviators. He allowed one run over two innings. Frahm struck out none, walked one and gave up one hit.

Scott Harkin couldn't get it done on the mound for the Gateway Grizzlies, taking a loss. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
