The Frontier Greys (7-11) took down the Schaumburg Boomers (9-12) 13-5 on Saturday at Schaumburg Baseball Stadium after slamming the Schaumburg Boomers with eight runs in the seventh inning.

The Frontier Greys scored in the seventh on a two-run double by Scott Carcaise, , a sacrifice fly by Jhiomar Veras, an RBI single by Brett Shankin, an error, and a two-run single by Zach Tanner.

Tanner racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Frontier Greys.

The Schaumburg Boomers had no answer for Justin DAlessandro, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Schaumburg Boomers managed just one hit off of DAlessandro, who allowed one earned run, walked five and struck out three during his six innings of work.

Mike Schulze got on base four times in the game for the Schaumburg Boomers. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the third, seventh, and eighth innings.

Scott Plaza ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in six innings, walked four and struck out three.
