The Traverse City Beach Bums (8-7) beat the Florence Freedom (6-10) 3-2 on Wednesday at UC Health Stadium behind Yazy Arbelo, who had two extra base hits.

Despite the loss, the Florence Freedom's Coleman Stephens dominated the Traverse City Beach Bums' batters, giving up two runs and striking out five.

Michael Pair led the Florence Freedom's offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He also drove in one runner. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the sixth innings.

Scott Vachon improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Ethan Gibbons (0-1) took the loss for the Florence Freedom. He lasted just two innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed one run.
