Ferrell's single gives the Richmond RiverRats walk-off win over the Jamestown Jammers, 6-5

A walk-off single from Joba Ferrell brought home the winning run for the Richmond RiverRats (19-30) in a 6-5 victory over the Jamestown Jammers (24-27) at McBride Stadium on Tuesday.

Ferrell racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Richmond RiverRats. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the ninth inning.

The Richmond RiverRats were led by a flawless day at the dish by Aiden McMahan, who went 3-3 against the Jamestown Jammers' pitching. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the first and seventh innings.

The Jamestown Jammers had no answer for Brian Mroz, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Mroz held the Jamestown Jammers hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

A bright spot for the Jamestown Jammers in the defeat was Kyle Griffin, who allowed only one run while striking out eight.

Griffin couldn't get it done on the bump for the Jamestown Jammers, taking a loss.
