The Richmond RiverRats (9-16) and the Chillicothe Paints (14-12) both had scoring chances on Friday, but it was the Richmond RiverRats that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 5-2 win at VA Memorial Stadium.

Troy Paris racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Richmond RiverRats. He tripled in the third and eighth innings.

The Chillicothe Paints couldn't get anything going so long as Jonathan Figueroa was on the hill. The Chillicothe Paints managed just one hit off of the the Richmond RiverRats' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out five during his 3 1/3 innings of work.

Matt Eppers went a perfect 3-3 at the plate for the Chillicothe Paints. He singled in the first, third, and fifth innings.

Jack Dennis improved to 3-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Richmond RiverRats. He allowed two runs over 5 2/3 innings. Dennis struck out three, walked two and gave up nine hits.

Derek Hendrixson couldn't get it done on the mound for the Chillicothe Paints, taking a loss. He lasted just four innings, walked three, struck out seven, and allowed four runs.
