The West Virginia Miners (3-2) beat the Richmond RiverRats (1-4) 6-2 on Sunday at Linda K. Epling Stadium behind Dylan Harvey, who went 3-3 at the plate.
He doubled in the sixth inning and singled in the fourth and eighth innings.The Richmond RiverRats had no answer for Connor Faix, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Richmond RiverRats managed just one hit off of Faix, who allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out two during his three innings of work.
Cody Begovich reached base three times in the game for the Richmond RiverRats. He also drove in one runner. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the fourth inning.
