Jake Fischer went 2-3 as the Alberta (4-1) took home a 2-1 victory over the Quebec two (3-3) in seven innings at Parc de lEst on Sunday.

Connor Burns brought the heat against the Quebec two during his outing. Burns gave up just two hits, allowed one earned run, walked five and struck out five during his seven innings of work.

Derek Cote ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked four, struck out four, and allowed two runs.
